Goddess Chinnamasta - pray to conquer lust

Image
The sixth of the Dasa Mahavidyas, is the most awe inspiring Devata. Not only in Hindu Tantra but Chinnamastā finds herself prominent in the pantheon of Tibetan Tantric deities as Vajravairochani. Her stunningly ferocious imagery naturally invokes fear and trepidation, matched only by the effects that her sadhana can cause to a seeker. In Tibetan Buddhism , She is also referred to as Chinnamunda, who, some scholars believe is a form of Vajravarahi. The term vajra denotes an indestructible purity and is often added as a prefix to the names of different spiritual beings. One of the earliest texts which mention Chinnamasta is the Hindu Chinnamastākalpa and the Tantrasara. A less ambitious application of Chinnamastā sadhana is for nullifying the effects of Rahu as a graha. Probably the most important center of Chinnamastā worship in India exists in Rajarappa in the state of Jharkhand where the idol is made of Gomedh. The two small goddess on either side represents the iccha shakti(...

When the two Asuras Madhu and Kaitabha were killed, the fragments of their bodies formed the base for the land mass of our Earth and there was nothing except water and barren land. Sun was created by the efforts of Tara and Dakshineshwar Tara produced light , energy and heat through her powers, which became the source for the Sun. She created a tremendous air flow from her breath, which hit the energy bodies and led to their union. The increasing source of energy inside the water gave the required boost to the appearance of the eternal sun. Surya was told that he has to give his life-giving sun rays to the world and give life to all beings, by staying at one place and pro...

Mahakali

Image
Remover of ego, anger(Chanda and munda) Remover of lower qualities Destruction of enemies Destruction of blackmagic Gives ultimate supreme knowledge(gyana) Kaali is mentioned as the first of the ten Maha Vidya Devathas because in a certain way she is the one who “spins the wheel of the universal time”. On the other hand, at the end of the manifested world, time (in Sanskrit Kaala) devoured all the universes of the three plans of the creation: the physical, the astral and the causal universes. Kaali finally devours the time {Kaala} itself, and this is the very reason for which Kaali is viewed as the primordial cause of the creation and destruction of the universe. She is described as being dark as the night, dancing over Shiva’s inert, white body. This representation reveals the significance of the two fundamental aspects of Reality: on one hand there is the dynamic aspect of God (Kaali’s dance) and on the other the static, transcendent aspect of consciousness (identified w...

Dasa maha vidhya(10 Maha Devi)  -  Ten Goddess

Image
A very efficient and able administrative network , always indicate a strong administrator, singly and strongly holding charge, regardless of how big or small, the organization / unit is. The Chief Controller may not be in touch with each of his deputies but the policy decisions taken by the Chief will be implicitly be implemented by all his deputies automatically, as if the Chief is sitting in every place and functioning. In our part of India, they will say that even in a kitchen , where there are several cooks working, the control should be with one single Chief Chef and not with two persons. If it is not done, the result may probably be “ No Salt “ or “ More Salt “. An usual question Indian boys and girls ask during an interactive session in schools is , why should there be so many Gods and Goddesses in our religion unlike other religions , where there is always only one God. They are quite satisfied to hear the reply that in our system, God is everywhere and the power of Go...
