Thought flows - Cit Shakti, Atma, Mind

A.  Cit Shakti or the unique power of the Atma (The Self) is what is commonly known as the mind. B.  Whether it be the scientist or the believer or the atheist, it is the expression of this Cit Shakti based on individual dispositions/predilections/tendencies C.  The scientist utilises this Cit Shakti in a manner that allows him to explore knowledge logically and design solutions. Of course, the scientist may or may not acknowledge the existence of the Supreme Cit Shakti. And some of the work of such scientists helps to protect the world, both animate and inanimate. Similarly atheists who do good work for beings of all types may not believe the existence of a Supreme Cit Shakti or energy or God. Which is fine, they simply doesn't believe what they doesn't see logically. However, and in spite of this, the Supreme Being works through them D.  Thus, never lose your positive energy in a Crisis . Goddess Chinnamasta - pray to conquer lust

Image
The sixth of the Dasa Mahavidyas, is the most awe inspiring Devata. Not only in Hindu Tantra but Chinnamastā finds herself prominent in the pantheon of Tibetan Tantric deities as Vajravairochani. Her stunningly ferocious imagery naturally invokes fear and trepidation, matched only by the effects that her sadhana can cause to a seeker. In Tibetan Buddhism , She is also referred to as Chinnamunda, who, some scholars believe is a form of Vajravarahi. The term vajra denotes an indestructible purity and is often added as a prefix to the names of different spiritual beings. One of the earliest texts which mention Chinnamasta is the Hindu Chinnamastākalpa and the Tantrasara. A less ambitious application of Chinnamastā sadhana is for nullifying the effects of Rahu as a graha. Probably the most important center of Chinnamastā worship in India exists in Rajarappa in the state of Jharkhand where the idol is made of Gomedh. The two small goddess on either side represents the iccha shakti(...

Hinduism - The open source religion

Hinduism’s greatest quality is condensed in this line from Swami Vivekananda’s 1893 Chicago speech "As the different streams having their sources in different paths which men take through different tendencies, various though they appear, crooked or straight, all lead to Thee." Hinduism has always embraced multiple ways and methods of worship. Because this is a base core concept. No one can point to another person and declare "You are doing it wrong! Do it this way!". This way of thinking makes Hinduism into an opensource religion and overall makes it stronger. Much like opensource code, this gives it a lot of benefits. 1. First, it is open access. There is no one stopping you from forking the ideas and building your own. If the ideas are good then people will automatically follow them. 2. It can also innovate and try out ideas. The successful ideas are taken by other "branches" and merged into their code/principles. A good example of this - The ...
